What is Shellac?
Shellac is the brand name for the nail product that has been created and patented by Creative Nail Design (CND). Shellac is a hybrid, meaning half nail polish, half gel. Shellac is thin and strong enough to be applied much like a traditional nail polish, but it is cured in a way that gives Shellac great durability and flexibility. Shellac also has the glossy shine that is only associated with gel nails.
Who would Shellac be best suited for?
- Shellac is for people who want to maintain their natural nails. Shellac looks as good from day 1 to day 14 (or even longer depending on your care), but does not do damage to your nail beds.
- Those looking to lengthen their natural nails. Shellac is not used to create a longer nail.
- Those people with healthy nail beds. Shellac isn't a nail product suited for clients with extremely damaged nail beds, split or peeling nails.
How is Shellac different from traditional nail polish manicure?
Shellac is cured by a UV light within minutes and your Shellac is completely dry by the time your manicure is over. Your Shellac nails will be strong enough to withstand accidental knocks straight after your manicure.
What is SNS?

- No odour - No liquid - No primer - No UV light - Much thinner than other products - Light weight - Easy and fast
The Signature Nail System contains 5 different kinds of Vitamins and Calcium to assist with nail strength and growth.
SNS is the one and only product able to create a natural look of French Colour Tip and multiple colour designs with exceptional colours, The Colour Powder can be applied to real nails as Soak-off Manicure Gel or on SNS Natural Set with the choice of Half-moon (French Colour Tip) or whole nail. The colour will last for 14 days or more with mirror finish, and only need 10 minutes to soak off in nail polish remover or Acetone. Powders are Formaldehyde, Toluene and DBP Free.
How is SNS Applied?
The multi-step SNS process overlays directly onto the nail bed to create a long lasting nail with exceptional durability and shine. Because the application doesn't use harsh chemicals, it eliminates the odours that are typically associated with acrylics and gels.
Applications can be customized for each client, with built up thicknesses, a wide variety of colours and glitter available. Application requires minimum filing and sits perfectly against the cuticle. Infill’s are just as easy as the application.
The most popular sets are:
- Healthy Nails: A light pink set powder is used on the entire nail to create a natural, healthy appearance.
- Healthy Pink and White: Two powders are used to create a white nail tip with a pink nail bed base, simulating the look of a French manicure.
